Herbert also has 25 years of coaching and officiating youths across multiple sports (football, softball, and lacrosse)

In addition to working in the aerospace, defense and security industry, Herbert is a PGA Associate member (Georgia Section) and certified United States Golf Teachers Federation instructor.

Herbert's philosophy about teaching is that everyone can play better. Not everyone is going to have the same golf swing because all bodies are different. But there are basic fundamentals to every golf swing – body position, fluid motion and delivering the club head squarely to the ball. Herbert is also a certified fitter of golf equipment for the Mizuno corporation.
